Local wildlife includes: Mule Deer, Moose, Big Horn Mountain Sheep, Black Bear, Grizzly Bear, Wolf, Coyote, Cougar, Bobcat, Lynx, Wolverine, Fisher, Marten, Snowshoe Hare and Otters.
Bird lovers can spot: Grouse: Dusky (Blue), Ruffed & Spruce; Ptarmigan, Chukar Partridge, Gray Partridge, Pheasant, Mourning Doves, Coots, Ducks, Geese, Falcons, Eagles, Hawks, Great Herons, Trumpeter Swans, Loons and Owls.

Winterfest 2023 will be held on Family Day Weekend in BC, taking place on Saturday, February 18th from 10am-3pm at the Gold Bridge Community Club.
Winterfest is fun for the whole family to enjoy and there are activities for everyone. In 2023, we look forward to having Adult and Kids Games, a Kids Warm up Zone, Food and Hot Beverages for sale, Raffle prizes, an Artisan Market with many local vendors, Blackcomb Helicopter flights for raffle, and much more!
